Overview

Legacy is not your father's TTRPG (tabletop role-playing game).

Most games benefit from rich, dramatic flair, descriptions dripping in detail. The main difference is how Legacy encourages and relies upon the "Rule of Cool."

The best Game Masters know how to improvise, but few hope for it. Any Player roll has the chance to change everything in Legacy, so lavish and intricate plans go up in flames faster than a stereotypical, "I attack!"

Combine that edge-of-your-seat tension with a shared-turn system with constant reactions, and Players quickly discover how much more empowered they are compared to other games.

In some games, Players need a specialized, high-level build just to emulate a single early talent in Legacy.

Arbiters, Game Masters on the Players' side, also have more freedom. Legacy presents world and story information as outlines and modular pieces. So, the barrier to entry is amazingly low, while still providing original content. When Players take an unexpected left turn, Arbiters can quickly learn what could be there and roll with it.
